The museum of Liptov village which consists of buildings from flooded area of the water dam Liptovská Mara and some villages of upper and lower Liptov. The life of the inhabitants of the village is documented by the settlements of a tailor, a belt-maker or a smith. The life of richer classes is documented by the house of the mayor from Liptovský Trnovec, noble house from Paludza and residence from Parížovce. The dominating feature of the areas is the Gothic church of Virgin Mary from Liptovská Mara. In the museum of Liptov village cultural events are organized. It is possible to ride on horses. Važec cave
One of the most famous caves in the northern Slovakia. Even though it is one of short caves, it is known for its dripstones, findings of bones of cave bears as well as precious cave fauna. Home page
Demänovské caves
National natural monument Demänovské caves in the northern part of the Low Tatras is the longest cave system in Slovakia. Dominant feature is Demänovská cave of freedom which attracts visitors by rich sinter filling of various colours, mysterious underground river Demänovka and beautiful lakes. It is the most visited cave in Slovakia. Demänovská ice cave presents the northern part of world famous Demänovské caves. Hrádok arboretum
A botanical park of the Forest school. The choice of trees was influenced by the conditions of the standpoint and didactic function of the botanical part as the training object of the Forest school in the 19th century. Birch alley in the western part, larch alley in the middle part and some limbas in the southern parts were preserved from this period. Home page
Thermal swimming pool Liptovský Ján
Liptovský Ján is the gate into Ján valley which is rich in natural beauties – caves, flora, fauna, thermal water and mineral springs. It is a known recreational and tourist centre suitable for winter and summer recreational stays. Home page
Tatralandia
The biggest area of water fun and relax in Slovakia, the Czech Republic and Poland. Thermal mineral springs flow from the depth of some 2,500 m with the temperature of 60.7 C. Thermal mineral water contains a part of sea waters from Paleocene sea which was in the area of Liptov 40 million years ago. Mineral water of Tatralandia is suitable for moving and breathing systems.
